CASTELLO DI ALBOLA
The medieval village of Castello di Albola rises atop the splendid Chianti hills in a location incomparable for its historical appeal, evocative art and the unique agro-landscape of unparalleled harmony. Throughout its history, this jewel of the Chianti region has belonged to the noblest Tuscan families, from the Acciaioli to the Samminiati, from the Pazzi to the Ginori Conti, and since far back as 1979, it has been owned by the Zonin family.
WINES OF ALTITUDE
Castello di Albola covers approximately 900 hectares, 110 of which are planted with vines, and enjoys a privileged position among the highest hills of Chianti Classico. The vineyards, a true heritage for the local culture, are located in areas characterized by steep slopes, between 350 and 650 meters above sea level, and benefit from significant temperature ranges and an ideal microclimate for the production of high-quality wines.
